I have just been told about a website I want to share!
Admittedly it is the type of site which will float an accountant’s boat but may leave others cold. However, I think it may well be very useful to anybody who wants to do some checking up on clients’ or suppliers’ financial situations.
The website is www.duedil.com and it is a free service providing information on limited companies. As with all such sites the information is only as up to date as the filed accounts, but as a starter for ten it is a great way to get some free facts about a company you deal with.
You can ‘follow’ individual companies so that as their information is updated you will know.
Interestingly you can also find out information about the directors – including how many directorships they have now, or have had in the past, and how long they have been a director of the company in question.
Given the uncertain financial environment we are all operating in currently such a tool can only be a good thing.
